Relief Update

- In 2006, the Old Newsboys purchased $152,000 in coats, shoes and emergency clothing for area children and their families.

- Over the last year, the Old Newsboys provided shoes and warm coats to over 3,200 Toledo area school children, originating from more than 59 area schools.

- In 2006, the Old Newsboys Goodfellow Association provided more than $8,000 in emergency food for needy families.

- During the last year, nearly 320 needy families received emergency food vouchers from the Old Newsboys Goodfellow Association.

- In 2006, the Old Newsboys contributed over $14,000 to community service programs that benefit area school children.

- In 2006, the Old Newsboys awarded nine $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors who would not have otherwise had the chance to attend college.

- In 2006, the Old Newsboys awarded one $1,000 scholarship for the High School Football Player of the Year award in conjunction with local sports media panelists.
